Common Impact will share insights and best practices from its two decades of experience in skilled volunteerism, including board matching and service. Participants will learn how to identify suitable candidates, introduce them to the fundamentals of board governance, and equip them to make a positive impact through their service.

Chuck Dunlap, Executive Director of the Indiana Bar Foundation and co-author of the 2019 Indiana Civic Health Index, will review the report’s findings and recommendations and discuss how they relate to the work of Indiana philanthropy. Sheila Kennedy, professor of law & public policy, will explore how civic literacy relates to all avenues for service and community development.
