Affordable housing is out of reach for most Hoosiers and due to the pandemic, the need for affordable housing in Indiana has never been greater. Unfortunately, is not enough to just have a great idea for an affordable housing project. You have to have the numbers to back up the idea and affordable housing projects often struggle to get financing due to financial analysis gaps for the project. This workshop will enhance participant’s skills in analyzing their agency’s financial position, creating proformas/ratios for the project, and developing materials for funders and finance agencies. Real Estate Finance 201 will enable you to make the case for your idea and justify the need for the project to potential funders as well as “non-finance” partners and colleagues.
