Join Building Movement Project and GEO on Monday, October 26 for “Race to Lead Revisited.” This webinar conversation will feature Sean Thomas-Breitfeld and Frances Kunreuther, co-directors of BMP, in conversation with Karen FitzGerald of Meyer Foundation, Leticia Peguero of The Nathan Cummings Foundation and Alvin Starks of the Open Society Foundations.

Earlier this year, The Building Movement Project (BMP) released Race to Lead Revisited: Obstacles and Opportunities in Addressing the Nonprofit Racial Leadership Gap. This new report, based on over 5,000 responses collected from our 2019 survey, builds upon the findings of previous reports and explores new insights on race and leadership in the nonprofit sector.

Race to Lead Revisited presents three key findings, which we will discuss during this webinar:

  1. The original Race to Lead report is still relevant three years later.
  2. There is a white advantage in the nonprofit sector.
  3. DEI efforts are widespread and their effectiveness is uncertain.
