Discover how the Program Officer Competency Model can impact organizational strategy and assist in client coaching!

Since the release of our competency models earlier this year, the feedback from the broader field of philanthropy has been positive. The models have been welcomed as important contributions to the sector and offer promise for diversifying the general philanthropic workforce, including leadership.

After releasing the models and holding conversations about their composition and intent, we often heard this question: “How do we use them?”

This session will highlight the experiences of two leaders who are leveraging the Program Officer Competency Model in their own work.

During this session, you will hear from Punita Dani Thurman about how she’s using the model as a way to inform her organization’s overall strategy at The Skillman Foundation, as well as from Allen Smart, who will talk about how he uses the model in his national consulting practice to help rural-serving funders be more impactful.

Price: $60 (free for current GVSU students/staff/faculty)
Format: Virtual. All registrants will receive the Zoom access link and password via email from Eventbrite two days before the event.
Deadline to Register:  January 7
