The three-day class focuses on creating an inclusive culture of collaborative learning in teams, communities, and organizations. It is for both new and experienced leaders, managers, facilitators, and graduate students who would like to develop or improve their facilitation skills. It takes place at the Potawatomi Inn Resort and Conference Center, 6 Lane 100A Lake James, Angola, IN 46703, in Pokagon State Park. The workshop begins at 9:30 am on Day 1 and ends by 3:30 pm on Day 3. The course also includes an introductory webinar.

Schedule

  • Day 1: Tuesday, June 13 (9:30 am — 6:00 pm ET)
  • Day 2: Wednesday, June 14 (8:00 am — 6:00 pm ET)
  • Day 3: Thursday, June 15 (8:00 am — 3:30 pm ET)

Class size is limited. This allows time for every participant to practice facilitating and receive coaching and feedback in small groups. Due to the focused nature of the workshop, participants are asked to participate fully in the three days without phone calls, meetings, and other interruptions that diminish the learning experience for all.

The cost of this retreat experience includes lunch on all three days, breakfast Day 2 and 3, and all materials for $625. The registration fee does not include lodging or dinners. Please make your hotel reservations separately with the Potawatomi Inn by calling 260-833-1077 or visiting www.indianainns.com. A block of rooms has been reserved, including options for single occupancy at $99.00 per night and double occupancy at $108.00 per night plus taxes and fees. Use group number 612PUW or ask for a room with the Purdue Facilitative Leadership Conference to receive the group rate. Reservations should be made by April 12, 2023, to receive the block rate.

There is a one-time park entrance fee of $7.00. You will receive a gate pass to hang in the vehicle upon check-in to show at the gate, allowing re-entry at no charge.

When planning your travel to the workshop and Angola, Indiana, please note that Angola is on Eastern Standard Time.

Please register by Monday, May 15, 2023.  Space is limited.  Once capacity is reached, registration for the workshop will be closed.

There is typically a waiting list for this session, so please indicate as soon as you become aware if you can no longer attend so that we may fill your spot.
