The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is bringing the Monster Meetings back to focus on racial reconciliation in our city and beyond. The Monster Meetings were an iconic lecture series that began in 1904 and spanned more than 60 years. It provided an opportunity to bring the community together to address pertinent challenges and discuss potential solutions. The OrthoIndy Foundation YMCA will host the first event of the season, “Discovering Your Voice,” to explore ways that we can inspire and encourage citizens to participate in creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all.

Speaker

The event will spotlight Indianapolis native, Lt. Col. Charles Henry DeBow, Jr., a member of the first class of Tuskegee Airmen. The featured speaker will be his son, Charles Henry DeBow, III. He will honor his father and tell his story through a contemporary lens.

Capacity is limited to 200 in-person attendees and 100 virtual.
