Community Foundation Interns - Orientation & Networking Webinar

Pamela Clark is currently serving as the Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management and Student Success for the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and the Director of the undergraduate program in Philanthropic Leadership. She has been at the Lilly Family School since January 2013, but has worked at IU Indianapolis since 1999 in various roles. She was the assistant director of admissions with the School of Dentistry, program coordinator for the IU Indianapolis/Butler University Engineering Dual Degree Program for Engineering and Technology, an advisor at University College and an assistant director of admissions for the IU Indianapolis Office of Admissions. She also worked in admissions and student services at Ivy Tech State College before coming to IU Indianapolis.

She enjoys working with students and supporting them in achieving their academic goals. While working at University College she developed the first online learning communities designed for freshmen students and specifically for adult learners. While at the School of Dentistry, she worked to develop programs to recruit rural applicants to the field of dentistry. In her current role, she has worked to redesign the undergraduate curriculum to include a full year of internship experience through a partnership with the United Way of Central Indiana.

She has a daughter who is a PhD candidate at New York University and three dogs named Winona, Quinn and Finneas.

Maranda Fishback Engquist is the Grants and Partnerships Director for Legacy Foundation, the community foundation for Lake County, Indiana. In her position, Maranda oversees the grantmaking, community engagement, and strategic initiatives of the community foundation. Maranda seeks to build relationships and collaborations with nonprofit organizations, businesses, local government, and residents to strengthen community and cultivate opportunities to empower residents to be changemakers.

Maranda began her career at Legacy Foundation in 2015 as part of the Community Foundation Internship, a program of Indiana Philanthropy Alliance funded by Lilly Endowment, Inc. Maranda has served as Legacy Foundation’s Community Engagement Coordinator, and the Foundation’s Marketing and Communications Manager.

Maranda received a B.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management and a M.B.A from Purdue University Northwest. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, trying DIY projects, testing new recipes, and exploring new small businesses and markets.

After spending 5 years with the Steuben County Community Foundation(SCCF) as part of their youth philanthropy initiative, Brittany returned for two summers to intern with SCCF. She has since earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology and French and her master's degree in Community Psychology. She's worked with several philanthropic organizations including The Children's Museum of Indianapolis , The University of Cincinnati Foundation, and currently is a Program Manager with The Fund Raising School at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. As Program Manager, Brittany manages a portfolio of custom and public training programs, handles logistics, and develops infrastructure and processes to support growth of the organization.
