The Community Foundation is pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the annual David Sursa Leadership Award. This award recognizes, rewards, and encourages extraordinary leadership demonstrated by a nonprofit board member in Delaware County.

Standing behind the belief that every community benefits from leaders who understand local issues and work toward positive change, The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County established the David Sursa Leadership Award in honor of its inaugural Board President, David Sursa. Sursa’s visionary leadership played a crucial role in shaping the Foundation’s success, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

Each year, the David Sursa Leadership Award is presented to a nonprofit board member in Delaware County who exemplifies the dedication and leadership qualities that defined David Sursa’s lifetime of service.

Organizations wishing to nominate an outstanding board member should complete the nomination form, available at cfmdin.org/sursa. All supporting materials must be submitted by March 31. The recipient of the David Sursa Leadership Award will be announced following the Foundation’s Annual Meeting in May, and a $2,500 award will be granted to the nominating organization in the recipient’s honor.

For more information on the David Sursa Leadership Award or to access the nomination form, visit cfmdin.org/sursa or contact Marcy Minton, President & CEO, at 765-747-7181 or mminton@cfmdin.org.
