CEP's mission is to provide data and create insight to help philanthropic funders better define, assess, and improve their effectiveness. Its widely referenced research reports (on topics such as relationships with grantees, foundation strategy, assessing performance, and foundation governance) are available on its website. CEP has also developed assessment tools for funders, such as the Grantee Perception Report.
