Cheryl K. Taylor, Foellinger Foundation President and CEO, has announced that she will step down from her position on May 31, 2020, anticipating a leadership change at the Foundation.

Created in 1958, Foellinger Foundation invests in the excellence of nonprofit organizations in Allen County that serve children and their families, particularly those with the greatest need and least economic opportunity.

Mrs. Taylor has served the Foundation since 1990. She has served as President and CEO since 2001.

Foellinger Foundation’s assets are invested with a philosophy of long-term stewardship. This ensures that, as long as there are strong organizations with committed leaders working to solve our community’s most daunting issues, there will be a source of financial support.

The Foundation does this by identifying and funding mission-driven, well-governed, results- oriented organizations.

In 2016, to further strengthen and inspire nonprofit leadership in our community, the Foundation introduced the Helene Foellinger Leadership Development Initiative. “Of all the investments we’ve made, this investment in the development of individual leaders is, for me, the Foundation’s most important,” says Taylor.

“Cheryl has led the Foundation in a dynamic and adaptive manner, providing unparalleled executive leadership and guidance in our pursuit of philanthropic excellence. She has served as an exceptional steward of our founders’ values and vision,” said Michael C. Moellering, Foundation Board Chair.
