Community Honors Marissa Manlove at Retirement Celebration

Thanks to everyone traveling near and far to join our celebratory send-off for Marissa on Thursday, December 6th.

Kind remarks were given by IPA Board Chair Tina Gridiron, Vice Chair Linda Speed, Lilly Endowment's Clay Robbins,  and GIFT Director Rosemary Dorsa.

Marissa was also surprised with a tribute from Congresswoman Susan Brooks, which was read into the Congressional Record of December 6, 2018. This entry states the following:

"The people of Indiana's 5th Congressional District are forever grateful for Marissa's commitment to transforming Indiana through her various roles with nonprofit organizations." It goes on to read, "Marissa has made a remarkable impression on her community through her lifetime commitment to service. She has truly left a legacy of success at the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance that will be built upon for years to come. On behalf of Indiana's 5th Congressional District, I congratulate Marissa on her extraordinary career and extend my gratitude for all the wonderful contributions she has made to our Hoosier community. While I know Marissa will be missed at the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance, I wish the very best to her husband Kim and to the rest of her family as she moves to the next phase of her life."

Marissa was also presented with custom artwork by her staff which showcases IPA's 2018 Conference poem, as well as a video featuring IPA staff, board members, and close colleagues sharing fond memories of Marissa and her leadership of IPA over the past 12 years.
