Community Foundation DeKalb County Announces First Quarter Grant Funding

The Community Foundation of DeKalb County is proud to announce the recipients of its first cycle of grants for 2025. These grants highlight our ongoing commitment to strengthening DeKalb County by supporting organizations that foster positive change and enhance the well-being of our community. By investing in local programs, we aim to create lasting impacts that benefit residents now and in the future.
Grants Awarded
- Children First Center – awarded $5,000 for accessibility upgrades for their parking lot and entry
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana – awarded $3,000 for their site-based youth programming in DeKalb County
- Boomerang Backpacks – awarded $5,000 for their programming in DeKalb County
- YWCA Northeast Indiana – awarded $7,500 for Prevention and Services for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault in DeKalb County
- RespectTeam – awarded $3,000 for their programming in DeKalb County for 2024-2025
- Youth for Christ of Northern Indiana – awarded $5,000 for DeKalb Campus Life
“These grants reflect the vibrant spirit and resilience of DeKalb County. We are proud to support organizations that are not only meeting immediate needs but are also laying the foundation for a stronger, more connected community,” stated Tanya Young, Executive Director of the Community Foundation DeKalb County. “Through their innovative programs and dedicated service, these organizations inspire us all.”
