Zotec Foundation Announces $100,000 Grant to DREAM Alive

Tuesday, March 23, 2021

The Zotec Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Zotec Partners (Zotec), one of the country’s largest, privately-held, technology-enabled revenue cycle management (RCM) companies for healthcare providers and their patients, announces its $100,000 commitment to DREAM Alive Inc. supporting the Foundation’s mission to make the future brighter for the at-risk youth of Indiana. DREAM Alive breaks the cycle of poverty by helping vulnerable youth discover career paths from seventh grade until high school graduation with mentoring and career development programming.

“Zotec is committed to creating strong partnerships and supporting solutions for underserved youth in Indiana, who deserve the opportunity to thrive in school and post education career endeavors,” said Amy Waldron, Director of Foundation and Corporate Impact at Zotec. “We are thrilled that the Zotec Foundation is partnering with DREAM Alive to provide mentoring, career coaching, and character development programming to youth across greater-Indianapolis. We look forward to our people participating in the program as volunteers, and watching these young scholars grow into confident and empowered adults who care and contribute back to the community.”

The Zotec Foundation donated $50,000 to DREAM Alive in 2021 and will grant the remaining funds in 2022. This contribution empowered DREAM Alive to hire a full time Volunteer Engagement Director to lead, develop, grow, and implement the organization’s volunteer program. This new position is critical to recruiting and training mentors and volunteers to coach scholars in the areas of career aspirations and character development.

“As a non-profit organization, DREAM Alive depends on the generosity of others – donations of time, talent and expertise – to advance our mission,” said Eric Muller, Executive Director of DREAM Alive. “Zotec’s generous support enables us to recruit and train caring adults to mentor and develop the scholars participating in our programming. This partnership will not only improve the lives of the youth in our programs but will positively impact the future of our entire community through ending the cycle of poverty and creating civic-minded leaders.”

In addition to the Foundation grant, Zotec Partners’ team members will engage with DREAM Alive youth participants through career panels, mentorships, and summer camp enrichment programming. Team members will share their career journeys with students and will host conversations around topics such as interview skills, resume reviews, customer service best practices, and other professional development opportunities.

The Zotec Foundation contributed more than $180,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations in 2020. Beginning this spring, the Foundation will announce an open grant period for charities to apply for funding for the 2021 calendar year for programming that supports at-risk youth in the Indiana geographic area.
