Welborn is investing $2.87 million in grant partnerships across 27 grants to community organizations participating in the Foundation’s 2025 Christ-Centered Communities grant cycle. This includes three grants awarded for capacity building through Welborn’s Nonprofit Excellence focus area. These grants were formally presented at a celebration luncheon on Tuesday, June 17th, in the Welborn Community Room.

These grants will support programs and initiatives through 2026 focused on three areas:

  • Place-Based Approaches
  • People-Focused Approaches
  • Missional Movement

“These partners are the hands and feet of our community, and it is an honor to highlight their work in our region. Their dedication to holistic care epitomizes the Kingdom vision of a flourishing community where neighbors experience the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed through the loving, tangible, and collaborative work of local churches, Christ-centered nonprofits, and individual Christ-followers,” says Amy Hanson, Christ-Centered Communities Program Officer

“It’s great to celebrate our partners who are bringing faith-inspired hope, healing, and renewal to our community,” says Eric Cummings, Church Engagement Program Officer

Christ-Centered Community is one of the Foundation’s four focus areas with a strategic focus on surfacing and scaling model programming, fostering collaboration, building capacity, and measuring and sharing progress.
