Indiana Community Foundations Announce 2026 Lilly Endowment Community Scholars

Indiana community foundations across the state are announcing recipients of the 2026 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, a program designed to support college access while encouraging Indiana’s top students to build their futures in the state.

Indiana community foundations have begun announcing recipients of the 2026 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. The Lilly Endowment Scholarship Program's purpose is to raise the level of educational attainment in Indiana and retain Indiana's most talented students, encouraging them to pursue careers in the state after graduating. To increase awareness of the importance of Indiana community foundations in their respective communities, foundations in each of the state's 92 counties participate in the program.

Each of the 147 Lilly Scholars receives four years of full-tuition, required fees, and a book stipend at any eligible Indiana public or private nonprofit college or university. Since its inception in 1997, the program has benefitted over 5,400 Indiana students through tuition grants totaling more than $505 million.
