Heritage Fund Awards $98K to Local Nonprofits

Heritage Fund recently awarded $98,810 in grants from the Community Fund to local nonprofit organizations as part of its second-quarter grants cycle.
Grant recipients are:
- Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation – $62,100 to support Project Parents mental health resources for parents of Bartholomew County students.
- Indiana University J. Irwin Miller Architecture Program – $15,810 to support community design build pilot program in partnership with the city of Columbus.
- Bartholomew County Public Library – $15,000 to support BarthCo OnTheGo event calendar app development.
- Bartholomew County Parks – $13,500 to support county parks strategic planning.
- Indiana Landmarks – $12,500 to support National Historic Landmark designations for three local buildings.
Through the generous support of community members, HFBC annually distributes approximately $800,000 to $900,000 in grants to local nonprofits from the unrestricted Community Fund. Community Fund grants help HFBC to meet emerging needs in Bartholomew County in the areas of Youth Development; Downtown Vitality; Arts, Culture, and Architecture; and Responsive Community Need.
In addition to these Community Fund grants, other grants awarded this quarter include:
- Foundation Giving Hope, Inc. – $3,000 to support Project Genesis arts program pilot.
- Su Casa Columbus – $3,000 to support 2024 Fiesta Latina and Diversity Gala.
The remaining 2024 quarterly grants deadlines are September 1 and December 1.
