Hendricks County Community Foundation Promotes Program Officer to Vice President
Hendricks County Community Foundation has promoted staff member Eric Hessel from program officer to vice president of programs. As vice president of programs, Hessel will oversee all HCCF grantmaking and community leadership programs. This promotion recognizes the expanded portfolio of duties Hessel has overseen over the past year, including leading the community engagement portion of the Lilly Endowment Inc. GIFT VII Community Leadership Initiative.
Born in Pittsboro, Hessel started working with the community foundation in 2003 as a youth grantmaker and has since served successively as intern, program administrator, and program officer since 2010. Prior to joining HCCF full time, Hessel worked in youth programming and with the US Census Bureau. Hessel has worked diligently the past 10 years to build relationships in the local community that assist in strategic and effective grantmaking decisions, He has served Hendricks County well for many years and the community foundation board and staff are excited to see him step into his new role.
HCCF partners with generous people to realize their charitable goals while addressing community needs in meaningful and lasting ways. The Community Foundation manages assets of over $18 million in a collection of funds created by individuals, families, businesses and organizations for charitable purposes.
