The Hendricks County Community Foundation announces a new partnership with Candid, a national organization that provides comprehensive data on grants, foundations, and nonprofits. This collaboration will give Hendricks County residents free, local access to professional-grade fundraising and research databases to help local nonprofits, community organizations, and residents find essential funding and support.
The Hendricks County Community Foundation (HCCF) is proud to announce a new partnership with Candid, a national organization that provides comprehensive data on grants, foundations, and nonprofits. This collaboration will give everyone in Hendricks County free, local access to professional-grade fundraising and research databases that help local nonprofits, community organizations, and residents find essential funding and support.
This partnership officially makes HCCF a Candid Partner, meaning the Foundation is bringing high-value research tools—like the Foundation Directory Online (FDO) Professional—directly to the community. These tools usually require a paid subscription, but they will now be available for free at all six local libraries.
"We are excited and grateful for the opportunity to share the Candid database with our community," said Denise Robinson, Director of the Brownsburg Public Library. "Candid is an amazing resource designed to connect nonprofits and funders for impactful work. This partnership is a great fit, as libraries are often called upon to connect our community with essential resources. We deeply appreciate the Hendricks County Community Foundation's sponsorship of this valuable tool."
This initiative provides unparalleled access to resources that will drive growth in our community. Nonprofits can now search for grants, scholarships, fellowships, and identify funders to build strong prospect lists; residents can find information to connect with essential local services like food banks or shelters; and donors and volunteers can research and find trustworthy nonprofits in Hendricks County to support, promoting informed local giving.
"Our goal is to remove barriers and give every local organization and resident the professional research tools they need to succeed and thrive," said William Rhodehamel, HCCF President and CEO. "Candid's mission is to connect local people and organizations with necessary resources, and HCCF is the ideal partner for making these comprehensive tools available right in the heart of the community."
Community members interested in using these free resources should contact their local Hendricks County library.
