Glick Philanthropies to Help Food Banks Meet Growing Demand

To help food banks meet growing demand, Glick Philanthropies is donating to organizations in key communities where the Glick Company operates.

Most SNAP participants who can work, do work, and often in full-time or part-time jobs. Additionally, about two-thirds of people who benefit from SNAP are children, older adults, and people with disabilities who can’t work.

“SNAP benefits help community members meet one of the most essential needs: access to food. While food insecurity was already a pervasive problem, food banks are now facing growing demand due to threats to SNAP, the federal government shutdown, and rising food prices. Now and in the future, we are committed to expanding food access through trusted nonprofit partners,” said David Barrett, vice chair, president, and chief executive officer of the Glick Family Foundation.
