(Elkhart, Indiana) The Community Foundation of Elkhart County has a new home. On February 1, the Community Foundation moved to new, expanded office space at 300 Nibco Parkway, Suite 301, Elkhart.

After 28 years in the KeyBank building at Main Street and Jackson Boulevard, the growth of the foundation, due to the hard work of its employees and volunteers and the support of the community, necessitated a move. The new space will allow the Community Foundation to continue to grow along with the needs of the community.

“We simply ran out of room for our staff, which now numbers 14,” said Pete McCown, Community Foundation president. “For us to work well together and continue our exciting growth, we needed more space.”

Since the founding of the Community Foundation in 1989, KeyBank has provided space for the foundation’s employees to do the work of building the community. “We’re so grateful for more than 28 years of generous hospitality by KeyBank,” said McCown.

The move will expand available space from 3,000 square feet to 6,000 square feet. The Community Foundation moved to its new home in what has been the office for Martin Capital Management. For at least the next two years, the Community Foundation is taking over the lease and has moved all its operations to the third floor of this building adjacent to Elkhart’s RiverWalk.

“I’ve been a believer in the Community Foundation of Elkhart County for decades and am pleased with its growth, leadership and work,” said Frank Martin, founder and CEO of Martin Capital Management. “I think it’s a huge community asset and am so pleased that it can use this space. We needed to right size and I’m thrilled the Community Foundation can continue to grow in what has been our office for many years.”

The Community Foundation has grown and become more active in the community. Not only does it connect donors to meaningful causes, but it partners with local nonprofit on projects that make lasting impact in our community.

“We’re thrilled by all the growth that’s happening in Elkhart County and our region,” said McCown. “Having this new office will help us as we partner with others working to make this a place to learn, grow, thrive, and put down roots.”

The Community Foundation’s new physical address is: 300 Nibco Parkway, Suite 301, Elkhart, Indiana 46516. Its PO Box and phone number will stay the same: PO Box 2932, Elkhart, Indiana 46515 and 574-295-8761.
