Community Foundation DeKalb County Announces Third Quarter Grant Recipients

The Community Foundation DeKalb County awarded third-quarter 2025 grants to 10 local organizations, supporting programs that strengthen the community and benefit county residents.

The Community Foundation DeKalb County is excited to announce the recipients of its third grant cycle of 2025. These grants highlight the variety of efforts helping to move DeKalb County forward, supporting organizations whose work creates lasting benefits for DeKalb County residents. This cycle reflects the Foundation’s commitment to supporting efforts that strengthen the community in various ways.

Grants Awarded:

  • McMillen Health — awarded $7,349 for Preventative Health Education for DeKalb County.
  • Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana — awarded $5,000 for their 2025 Client Services program in DeKalb County.
  • Erin’s House for Grieving Children — awarded $5,000 for 2025 Grief Support Services for DeKalb County residents.
  • Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana — awarded $5,000 for programs serving DeKalb County residents in 2025–26.
  • DeKalb County Soil and Water Conservation District — awarded $5,000 for Connecting Community with Nature.
  • Judy A. Morrill Center — awarded $5,000 for professional development for JAMEE and I‑14 educators
  • Brightpoint — awarded $5,000 for health insurance navigation assistance for DeKalb County Residents.
  • Garrett Public Library — awarded $5,000 for its 2025 Book Sponsorship initiative.
  • American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana — awarded $5,000 for program services in DeKalb County.
  • Roots of Giving Pantry — awarded $5,000 for capacity building through a strategic vision plan.

“Our community grows stronger when we invest in one another,” said Tanya Young, Executive Director of the Community Foundation DeKalb County. “These grants highlight the many ways people are creating positive change and supporting our community. Together, these efforts build a stronger foundation for the future of DeKalb County.”
