Community Foundation DeKalb County Announces Fourth Quarter Grant Recipients

The Community Foundation of DeKalb County shares the recipients of its fourth grant cycle for 2025. 

These grants exemplify the dedication of the Foundation towards the county’s residents and the organizations that better their community, improve its occupants’ well-being, and achieve meaningful, lasting changes where it is needed.

Grants Awarded:

  • Town of Corunna Fund — awarded $15,000 for restoring playground equipment and accessibility improvements at the Town of Corunna Park.
  • Alliance Industries — awarded $4,763 for equipment accessibility upgrades.
  • Hearten House — awarded $5,000 for operational support to serve DeKalb County residents.
  • Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend — awarded $5,000 to the Resource & Referral Program to provide services to DeKalb County residents.
  • Matthew 25, Inc. — awarded $5,000 for operational support to serve DeKalb County residents.
  • Long Term Care Ombudsmen Program of Northeast Indiana — awarded $5,000 to support their operations benefiting seniors of DeKalb County.
  • Anthony Wayne Area Council Boy Scouts of America — awarded $4,500 to support their programs in DeKalb County.
  • Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum — awarded $5,000 for membership system upgrades that will support capacity building towards sustainability.
  • Inspiration Ministries — awarded $5,000 to help purchase furnishings for their new family home as part of their Supportive Housing Program.
  • Judy A. Morrill Center— awarded $660 for classroom books and installation of a little library.
  • Junior Achievement serving DeKalb County — awarded $10,000 for the 2025-2026 JA BizTown and JA Finance Park programs for DeKalb County students.
  • Stillwater Hospice — awarded $2,500 towards DeKalb Hospice Patients & Families Support.
  • First United Methodist Church — awarded $2,500 for the Wednesday Night Meal program.
  • Ride With Faith — awarded $5,000 for restoration and improvements to a metal roof.
  • Image of Hope Ranch — awarded a three-year grant totaling $18,000 to support their Equine Therapy Support program.
  • St. Joseph River Parks Fund — awarded $4,000 to repair the community fountain.

“It’s incredible to see just how many people are working to make DeKalb County a better place,” said Tanya Young, Executive Director of the Community Foundation DeKalb County; “Each and every grant goes towards partners in the community who take on challenges because they know it’s important now and for the future of our county. We’re proud of that commitment.”
