The Community Foundation of Crawford County (CFCC) has awarded Crawford County High School a $250,000 Community Education Grant to launch and sustain the new Crawford County Career and Technical Education Center (CCCTEC) at the English Campus. Funded through the CFCC Education Attainment Fund, this four-year investment reflects the foundation’s commitment to expanding education and workforce development opportunities that strengthen individual earning potential and the county’s long-term prosperity.

CFCC’s focus on education is already evident through its 30+ endowed scholarship funds, which awarded more than $366,000 to graduating students in May 2025. This new investment extends that vision beyond college pathways, creating robust opportunities for students to graduate career-ready.

Under the leadership of Principal Brandi Stroud and in partnership with the Crawford County Community School Corporation, CCCTEC will align with Indiana’s updated career “Pathways” programs, which include Academic Honors, Animal Science, Business, Computer Science, Construction, Digital Design, Education, Healthcare, and Welding.

The grant will enhance collaboration with partners such as Ivy Tech, Jasper Engine and Transmission, and Todd-Dickey Health Campus, with support ranging from financial contributions to apprenticeships, instruction, and in-kind equipment. Local businesses are encouraged to join in, helping meet their workforce needs while expanding opportunities for students.

Impact of the Grant:

  • Expands workforce training so more students graduate job-ready.
  • Increases dual credit opportunities toward future education.
  • Supports local business growth, entrepreneurship, and home ownership.
  • Strengthens Crawford County Schools enrollment and community vitality.

This investment not only builds capacity for students to succeed after high school but also helps create a stronger economic future for the entire community.

"This investment reflects deep commitment of the Board of Directors toward building a stronger future for Crawford County—one where every student has access to real-world skills, local career opportunities, and the foundation for lifelong success," said Dr. Kimberly Broughton-Miller, CFCC Board Chair. "The Community Foundation is proud to support a vision that grows both individual potential and our community as a whole."
