Foundations on the Hill 2026
IPA members must register using the United Philanthropy Forum website linked above.
In 2026, IPA members will join our peers across the country and partners at the United Philanthropy Forum for the national Foundations on the Hill (FOTH) conference. While there is a registration fee to attend FOTH, you will have access to a full range of FOTH conference activities, workshops, and meetings.
Foundations on the Hill arrives at a pivotal moment for the philanthropic sector. After a year marked by rapid policy shifts, heightened scrutiny, and growing demands on charitable institutions, philanthropy is gathering at #FOTH26 to collectively strengthen the sector’s independence and its ability to serve communities in the years ahead.
2025 taught us that when our networks are aligned, informed, and connected, philanthropy can engage more effectively. #FOTH26 builds on this momentum by convening the leaders, institutions, and ideas capable of designing our sector’s long-term advocacy future.
Hosted and presented by United Philanthropy Forum in partnership with Council on Foundations and Independent Sector, #FOTH26 is intentionally designed as a forward-looking advocacy conference and experience. Together, we will:
- Apply the lessons of 2025 to an evolving policy environment
- Strengthen relationships across a national philanthropic community
- Build sustainable advocacy power for the decade ahead
What's New in 2026
Unlike recent years, when IPA organized a separate agenda alongside the Forum, the Indiana delegation will now fully join the national FOTH programming coordinated by United Philanthropy Forum.
This change opens the door to a more robust and immersive experience. IPA registrants will participate in:
- Workshops and skill-building sessions tailored to today’s policy challenges
- Community-building events, including a national town hall, dine-arounds, and peer receptions
- Plenary sessions featuring national philanthropic leaders and public policy experts
By participating fully in the national structure, IPA members will gain broader insights, stronger peer connections, and aligned strategies that benefit their foundations and Indiana communities.
