Catalyst: Asset Development and Donor Engagement

This is the first module in our new Catalyst program.

The fundraising experience for community foundations is unique from other types of nonprofits. This module will guide participants in thinking about the kind of money they want to raise from new donors and stewarding their existing donor base. The goal of this module is not to teach participants how to become expert fundraisers. Instead, participants will learn how community foundations can work with donors to achieve greater impact.

Learning Objectives

• Evaluate and modify existing policies to direct asset development strategy and outcomes, specially aligned with the community foundation vision and impact
• Community Foundations learn strategies to encourage unrestricted giving and to empower donors to become ambassadors and advocates for your foundation
• Build your community foundation’s case for support and learn new ideas for stewardship and relationship management strategies
• Evaluate the effectiveness vs. effort of various engagement and development activities and segment donors for greatest ROI

Who Can Join

This event is exclusive to Indiana community foundations. A minimum of two registrations are required from your community foundation. Your CEO must plan to attend, and we recommend registering a board member and/or a key staff member if applicable to the topic.
