Fair Representation in Redistricting Initiative

IPA members are invited to a quarterly virtual meeting of the Fair Representation in Redistricting initiative, which is the funder collaborative on redistricting.

This will be a quick way to get an update on what the redistricting funder collaborative has been doing. Although the census funder collaborative is still functioning given the extended timeline for the census, the baton is already being passed to the redistricting funder collaborative to get ready for state redistricting efforts next year.

It will be a fast-paced, 60-minute meeting covering:

1.    State-based actions to stop gerrymandering and bring equity to how district lines are drawn;
2.    What is happening with recent proposals to end use of total population (and only use voter eligible populations) when drawing district lines; and
3.    National technical assistance, including a new Redistricting Data Hub.
