Animal Grantmakers’ 2024 Annual Conference
Animal Grantmakers’ 2024 Conference will bring animal funders from across North America (and beyond) together October 27 – 30 at The Yorkville Royal Sonesta Hotel in Toronto. In addition to an emphasis on cross-border comparisons and collaborations making a difference for animals, this international gathering will celebrate Animal Grantmakers’ 25th anniversary.
The three-day conference opens with optional site visits and an evening reception, closes with a gala dinner and keynote, and features more than 40 experts from academia, science, law, and advocacy speaking on topics consequential to wild, companion, farmed, and laboratory animals (and to people and the environment, too!). Other topics include working with Indigenous communities, grantees’ perceptions of grantmakers, and enhancing inclusionary practices. See the program and speakers for details.
The deadline to register is October 14; and, the deadline to book a room at the conference hotel at Animal Grantmakers’ discounted group rate is September 30. Philanthropic organizations or individuals interested in learning more about Animal Grantmakers may be eligible for one complimentary registration as a first-time guest. About Animal Grantmakers
Animal Grantmakers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to empower its members and allies to deploy, grow, and leverage their resources more effectively on behalf of animals, people, and the environment. It does this by helping animal funders learn from and share with each other and philanthropy at large; improve their grantmaking practices; collaborate; and, become more diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Animal Grantmakers also helps integrate animal issues with the work of non-animal funders and their grantees.
