Over the years, the Annual National Conference for Growing Community Foundations, has developed a genuine grassroots support from a variety of entities across the country turning into a collective effort, establishing a history, philosophy, and traditions that community foundations have come to rely on, respect, and trust.

The West and the East, the North and the South come together to network and share experiences with others just as passionate about community foundations! Last year, 500 practitioners from 226 community foundations in 39 states and 8 countries joined the Conference. See the statistics. Get energized, learn, network, and grow - this year's Agenda is tremendous!

The Conference is tailored but not limited to small-staffed and volunteer-led community foundations in rural, small urban, and suburban America. It is designed to meet the needs of both new and seasoned board members and staff in practical training to enhance skills in all major areas of community foundation management. It offered deep practical learning, concrete ideas to walk away with, valuable connections, and know-how from those who do the community foundation work day-to-day.

This year’s overarching theme Amplifying Impact is focusing on ways community foundations can leverage their social, human, and financial capital to generate positive impact in the places they serve. As always, a multitude of pertinent, technical, and thought-provoking sessions in all major areas of community foundation domains: governance, legal, marketing, finance, leadership, advocacy, programs - are included in the agenda.

Travel for some good old-fashioned networking and professional development to embrace peers you have missed and make new acquaintances. Alternatively, stay at home and explore what modern technology has to offer to help you remain remote yet meet new and old friends virtually while learning in the comfort of your home/office.

Some of your team-members might prefer to participate online instead of in-person. The online option is available in 2022 as we are striving to make the Conference accessible and equitable to welcome community foundations of various sizes, budgets, and geographic dispositions. We have learned that some board members and staff prefer the online option to connect with the content they are most interested in and save on time and travel. It also eliminates health concerns related to travel and in-person gatherings.
