The Community Foundation of Pulaski County (CFoPC), in partnership with Metal Fab Engineering, Inc., of Winamac, Indiana, announces plans for a decorative installation of fabricated metal trees on the side of its Pulaski County headquarters. The powder-coated, weather-resistant metal trees will be manufactured and installed by Metal Fab’s engineers. The art was designed by Eyedart Creative Studio, of Goshen, Indiana and will beautify the exterior of the CFoPC building and celebrate the foundation’s growth and reach in serving residents throughout Pulaski County. The installation also represents the strength and longevity of Metal Fab’s partnership with CFoPC, and the company’s support of the Pulaski County community at large.

This is the next venture in a series of partnerships between Metal Fab and CFoPC, which have worked together on childcare offerings and other people-focused services in the community.

“Metal Fab has been a fantastic community partner with us and beyond,” said CFoPC Executive Director, Leeann Wright. “Not only are they manufacturing and providing this artwork at no cost, which is right up their industry’s alley, but they make an effort all over our community. They truly love the people of Pulaski County.”

Metal Fab, founded in 1972, is a family-owned business specializing in metal fabrication, laser cutting, metal forming, custom parts, and material procurement. The company’s integral involvement in local workforce development continues to directly impact the well-being of the Pulaski County community. By partnering with Ivy Tech Community College—and offering programming at local high schools—Metal Fab nurtures local talent and offers important job skills and employment opportunities. Metal Fab is also leading the way in helping to advance quality childcare in the Pulaski County community.

“Our partnership with Metal Fab Engineering is important to the growth of our community, and we are so thankful to Metal Fab’s president, Travis McDowell, and general manager Doug McLeod for their many years of support and leadership,” said Leeann Wright, Executive Director of the CFoPC. “The installation is symbolic of Metal Fab’s industry growth, and its ongoing commitment to the growth and success of the entire Pulaski County community. The opportunity to gain valuable skills is so important for our residents. Over the years we’ve seen talented young people and job seekers stay in the area and grow into professionals thanks to Metal Fab’s steadfast community involvement. This art installation speaks to the strength of our partnership, and we are deeply thankful to Metal Fab for preparing this special dedication.”

The installation, according to Metal Fab general manager Doug McLeod, also speaks to the importance of loyalty, teamwork, and giving back within a community. “Giving back to the community and providing a nurturing environment is fundamental to who we are at Metal Fab,” said McLeod. “This area has been so good to us. Pulaski County and its people have helped this business to grow and prosper for more than 50 years. It is a passion of ours to solve problems for our community by envisioning and bringing programs to life that help people flourish. There are no words to describe how fulfilling, rewarding, and exciting it is to help folks in our community improve their situations and build their own legacies. When the community prospers, we all prosper—and that’s a legacy worth investing in.”
