Join the Movement: Host a Food, Insecure Screening to Address Food Security in Indiana
The creators of The Working Hungry film have announced a new documentary––Food, Insecure. This powerful film, set to launch in late 2024, dives deeper into the realities of food insecurity in Indiana and the systemic issues contributing to hunger in our state.

Building on the success of The Working Hungry, which sparked meaningful conversations about hunger, Food, Insecure brings new stories and data to inspire even more action across Indiana.

How You Can Get Involved
Host a Screening
Starting in early 2025, Food, Insecure will be available for community screenings. The film comes with a discussion guide and resources to help facilitate impactful conversations about hunger and food insecurity in Indiana.
Mini-Grant Program
To help support these screenings, the Food, Insecure team is offering a mini-grant program. If your organization is interested in hosting a screening and panel discussion, you can apply for up to $400 to help cover event costs.
Mini-Grant Details:
- Up to $400 per venue for screening expenses (while funds last)
- Screenings must take place between February 1, 2025, and July 31, 2025
- The Food, Insecure team will provide marketing materials and discussion guides
- Grantees will submit a brief event summary and participation numbers
- Application deadline: January 13, 2025, by 12:00pm EST
