Steuben County Community Foundation and AWS Foundation Launch New Partnership
The Steuben County Community Foundation and AWS Foundation announced a partnership to fund nonprofit organizations serving individuals with disabilities. The new partnership establishes a fund at the community foundation titled the Accessible Communities Fund.
"We're thrilled about this opportunity with AWS, as it will broaden our grantmaking capacity and bolster programs that advance inclusivity and empowerment for individuals with disabilities in Steuben County," said Jennifer Danic, President and CEO of the Steuben County Community Foundation.
Starting with the Health and Human Services July 31 grant deadline at the Steuben County Community Foundation, organizations can request up to $10,000 to support inclusive programs and projects for children and adults with enduring intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities.
“As we work to build a more inclusive Northeast Indiana, our rural communities play an important role in serving people with disabilities,” said Patti Hays, CEO of AWS Foundation. “We’re hopeful this new partnership will help equip Steuben County nonprofits and organizations with the support needed to engage individuals with disabilities in all aspects of community life.”
Grant requests from the new fund must align with AWS Foundation’s Guiding Principles. Organizations interested in applying for funding through the new Accessible Communities Fund in Steuben County are encouraged to contact Lisa Biers, Vice President of Programs at 260-665-6656.
