This year, the Community Foundation has awarded an impressive $241,250 in scholarships, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing mission to support the academic aspirations of deserving students. Through the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers, 66 scholarships have been disbursed, impacting the lives of talented individuals (both high school seniors and adults) poised to make meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond.

A testament to the collaborative spirit of DeKalb County, the scholarship program engaged the expertise of 64 volunteer application reviewers, whose diligent efforts ensured a fair and transparent selection process. Their invaluable contributions not only uphold the integrity of the program but also reflect the collective commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders.

Furthermore, the Community Foundation celebrates the establishment of five new scholarship funds, representing a significant expansion in award availability. With these additions, the total scholarship funds awarded have increased by an impressive $83,500 compared to the previous year, amplifying the impact and reach of the program across the county.

"As stewards of community philanthropy, we are immensely proud of the milestones achieved by our Scholarship Program in 2024," said Tanya Young, Executive Director of the Community Foundation DeKalb County.

The Community Foundation DeKalb County extends its heartfelt gratitude to all donors, volunteers, and partners whose unwavering support has made these achievements possible. Together, we remain steadfast in our commitment to building a brighter future for the students and communities of DeKalb County.
