CF of DeKalb County Announces Q2 Grants

The Community Foundation of DeKalb County has awarded its second-quarter grants to 10 organizations for a total of $51,040. All organizations are either located in or provide services in DeKalb County.  

Q2 Grants Awarded:

  • Boomerang Backpacks: $5,000 for 2023-2024 school year weekend food supply for DeKalb County Students
  • Butler Youth Evangelistic Association: $5,000 for 2023 operational support 
  • Catholic Charities of FWSB: $5,000 for their resource and referral program
  • DeKalb County Soil & Water Conservation District: $4,040 for outdoor community education
  • Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana: $2,500 for Girl Scout Leadership experience 
  • Hearten House: $5,000 for 2023 operational support
  • Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry: $4,500 for 2023 operational support
  • Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry: $5,000 for 2023 meat processing fees
  • Science Central: $5,000 for 2023 Science 4U Outreach
  • Super Shot, Inc.: $5,000 for 2023 operational support
  • Warm A Heart Community Outreach, Inc.: $5,000 for 2023 operational support 

The Foundation accepts proposals from nonprofit organizations every quarter through a competitive process. Applicants can find more information about the grants and submit proposals through the Community Foundation’s grant portal located on their website at www.cfdekalb.org. Applications for the 3rd quarter are due July 1, 2023. Grant proposals submitted after the quarterly due dates will be considered for the following quarter.
