AWS Foundation Announces $1.1M in Grants

AWS Foundation recently awarded $1,110,500 in grants to 11 non-profit organizations that benefit individuals with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities in northeast Indiana. These organizations include:

  • A Rosie Place for Children – $25,000 to expand respite and train staff. 
  • Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo - $700,000 (over six years) for their comprehensive accessibility improvement plan.
  • Image of Hope Ranch - $15,000 for strategic planning and board development.
  • Ivy Tech Foundation - $15,500 for exploration of a Think College postsecondary program.
  • Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana - $40,000 for programming for students with disabilities.
  • Kosciusko Parkview Community YMCA - $32,000 for education and family support. 
  • The League - $120,000 for three years of operating support.
  • McMillen Health - $50,000 (over two years) for Varied Abilities Days.
  • OJ Neighbours Elementary School - $10,000 for sensory corners.
  • Windrose Urban Farms - $43,000 for replacement of cooler.
  • World Baseball Academy - $60,000 for three years of adaptive services.
