Our Community Foundation Awards Grant for New Daviess County Recovery Program
Our Community Foundation has awarded a grant to Real Recovery, Inc. for the development of a new program to help those recovering from addictions and traumas called Recovery Café Daviess County.
The grant will be used to support franchising and start-up costs for the program.
“Recovery Café Daviess County is being modeled after a very successful Recovery Café program in Indianapolis,” says James Hay with Real Recovery. “Recovery Café is a way to help all those who are recovering from addictions or trauma to maintain their journey toward recovery.” Hay said Central Christian Church has provided a location for the Café as well as other services provided by Real Recovery.
According to the Recovery Café Indy website, the model provides, “support to all people on their unique journeys. Whether you are new to recovery, moving through a difficult transition, returning to recovery, experiencing mental health challenges, trauma, and homelessness, or now wanting to give back in service to others – we welcome you to join us in recovering your true, authentic self!”
