Community Foundation Internship (CFI) Application

IPA's Community Foundation Internship (CFI) program is made possible by a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. under its GIFT (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow) initiative for Indiana community foundations.

Community foundations meeting eligibility requirements may request up $26,160 to cover student internships from January 2023 to December 2024.

Applications should be submitted before the student’s start date at the foundation for the semester, and no later than two weeks after they begin work. Please reach out if your anticipated end date for an internship gets extended.

Payment is released at the end of the internship on a reimbursement basis, upon approval of your final report. You have the opportunity to adjust your grant request on your report to accurately reflect the intern’s actual hours worked.

Questions can be sent to cfintern@inphilanthropy.org.

FOR YOUR INTERNS: GIFT recorded a CFI Orientation Video, which you can access here and share with your current intern.
