Community-based organizations (CBOs) can be challenged by collecting internal and external data to measure impact. To complicate matters, as data collection becomes more robust, CBOs are challenged not only by the volume of available data, but how to analyze and communicate data to support results. This skill-building workshop will increase CBO staff members’ ability to read, interpret, and understand data to communicate results and thrive in a data-driven world.

Speakers:

  • John Marron, Principal, City Strategies

  • Rebecca Nannery, Senior Research Analyst, The Polis Center at IUPUI

Tentative Agenda:

  • The "What" - Definitions and understanding the right questions
  • The "So What" or "Why" - Lessons from the field
  • The "What's Next" - Measuring, describing, and summarizing data for informed decisions
