Indiana United Ways Announced Resignation of President, CEO Maureen Noe
Indiana United Ways (IUW) announced the resignation of Indiana United Ways President and CEO Maureen Noe effective Monday, May 3, 2021. Noe successfully led IUW for five years and will work alongside the organization’s volunteer leadership until July 4 to ensure a successful transition.
“We are grateful for Maureen’s dedication and connection to this organization for the last five years,” United Way Executive Committee Chairperson Pam Ottersbach said. “The IUW Executive Committee will begin working toward identifying a new President and CEO who will adopt this organization’s strategy for success, build upon those successes, and lead IUW forward.”
Noe has been President and CEO for IUW since 2015. In her tenure, Noe led IUW to its highest accomplishments including the development of the Vision 2027 Strategic Plan, recruitment and engagement of a strong Board of Directors, and worked with local United Ways across Ind. by ensuring tools and resources for a thriving future.
Successfully garnering trust and confidence from funders, Noe was able to leverage more than $70 million into the United Way’s network to positively impact Hoosiers by providing basic needs, mental health services, and educational services. She also collaborated with United Way Worldwide to refine and relaunch a Shared Services backroom service that focuses on process improvement and customer service. Additionally, Noe was heavily active in leading the production of the bi-annual Asset Limited Constrained Employee Report (ALICE) in 2020.
Noe explained that her work with IUW, as a flagship organization, has been energizing, rewarding and well-positioned for the next leader
“Leaving Indiana United Ways brings mixed emotions and a strong sense of humility. I will forever value the work and friendships I have made along the way and celebrate the accomplishments our teams have and will achieve in the future. The trust and partnership the Board of Directors invested in my leadership is a gift that allowed us to take IUW to new levels. And above all, the exceptional, selfless work that our United Way network leaders to every day is inspirational. I am confident in IUW’s ability to carry out its mission, continuing to grow and transform the communities it serves,” Noe said.
