Unused CARES Act Funds Could be a Crucial Resource for Struggling Communities

As part of the CARES Act, $300 million were made available to counties, cities, and towns to aid in recovery. Due to restrictions and other roadblocks, much of the money remains unused. 

These vital funds, which may only be used to reimburse expenditures directly related to addressing the COVID-19 pandemic, could be a crucial resource for struggling communities.
