Foellinger Foundation has announced it is accepting nominations for the David A. Bobilya Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Award. The award was established in honor of the late David A. Bobilya, a Foellinger Foundation board member for 16 years. Mr. Bobilya exemplified the impact of effective nonprofit leadership in all his community activities.

The David A. Bobilya Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Award is designed to recognize one current or recently retired board member who has demonstrated excellence in nonprofit leadership. This year, the Foundation is specifically seeking nominees that provided critical decision-making leadership in addressing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“David was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, and in all of his interactions displayed the principles of accountability, responsibility, integrity and results that drive the work of Foellinger Foundation,” said Cheryl Taylor, the Foundation’s President.

Nominations are due Friday, June 26, 2020 by 5:00 p.m. The award recipient will be announced at a special recognition program in October 2020. A $25,000 operating grant will be awarded to the recipient’s nominating organization.
