The Community Foundation of Boone County has named Jodi Gietl as the new president & CEO. Gietl is a dynamic leader whose background in agriculture and Fortune 500 finance allows her to create and execute strategy, while passionately connecting donors’ philanthropic passions to nonprofit organizational needs.

“We are excited to welcome Jodi”, said Bob Wesseler, Chair of the Community Foundation of Boone County Board of Directors. “Her prior experience, community activities, and knowledge of the county will go a long way in allowing us to continue to meet our mission of uniting people, organizations, and philanthropy to create a thriving community for all.”

A long-time resident of Boone County, Gietl has served the community in a variety of roles, from in the boardroom to working on-site with nonprofits. Before joining the Foundation, Gietl held positions including Controller at Fortune Acquisitions, LLC and Chief Financial Officer of Habitat for Humanity of Boone County. At Habitat, she focused on grant making, donor development and planned giving, and working to follow the mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope for the under-housed of Boone County. She currently serves with several Boone County nonprofit organizations, including Boone County 4-H Fair Board of Directors, Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build, Traders Point Christian Church, and the Boone County Senior Citizens Olympics.

“I am thrilled to engage our community, invest in people, lead our vision, and forever establish growth to strengthen Boone County”, said Gietl. “I love people and I have a heart for Boone County. To have my professional world and philanthropic background collide with an opportunity to lead the team at the Community Foundation of Boone County is a dream come true.”

Jodi has called Zionsville home for the past 22 years and has three children: Courtney (recent graduate of Butler University), Clay (sophomore at DePauw University), and Camryn (senior at Zionsville High School).  She is excited to meet you and is ready to help the Foundation continue making an impact in Boone County. You can reach her at jodi@communityfoundationbc.org.
