Full-tuition scholarship opportunity available through Lilly Endowment

Wednesday, August 29, 2018

Several students graduating from high school throughout Indiana will not have to worry about paying for their college education. These students will receive a scholarship for full tuition and required fees, as well as an allocation of $900 for required books and equipment, to attend any accredited public or private college or university in the state. Someone from Harrison County will be one of those students in 2019.

The Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) announces that the Harrison County Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Application for the Class of 2019 is available and will be open until the deadline on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. The scholarship is open to Harrison County residents who will have graduated by the end of June 2019 with a diploma from a regionally accredited Indiana high school, and who plan to pursue a full-time bachelor’s degree program.

Information from the students’ transcripts through the end of their junior year will be considered for the Lilly application. Applicants will not be required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The application will be due on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. The finalists will be selected and interviewed in October, and the scholarship recipient will be notified in December.
