Arts Commission announces 2018 Indiana Arts Homecoming sponsor

(Indianapolis, Indiana) The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) announced today that the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne will be the primary sponsor of the 2018 Indiana Arts Homecoming October 18 - 19, 2018 at the Art Campus in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Thanks to the generous support of the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, scholarships will be available to attend the Indiana Arts Homecoming.

"Art has the ability to inspire innovation, evoke creativity, and bring people together like nothing else," said Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne President and CEO Brad Little. "The Community Foundation is proud to support the 2018 Indiana Arts Homecoming as a way to showcase artists in our community and allow art enthusiasts from throughout the state a chance to experience our vibrant arts and culture opportunities here in Allen County."

Scholarships will provide complimentary registration and a travel / accommodations honorarium in the amount of $175 to cover two-day conference participation. Scholarship award priority areas are: Diversity; Emerging Leader; and Rural Access.

Applications will be accepted through an online platform with a deadline of July 17, 2018.

"Thanks to this generous sponsorship by the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, we anticipate awarding between 35 and 40 scholarships, including InstaGrant competitors from each of our 11 regions," said IAC Executive Director Lewis C. Ricci. "The theme of this year's Homecoming is 'Big Ideas - Vibrant Communities,' and scholarships will bring a larger, more diverse group together, helping to generate and share big ideas about how the arts can transform Indiana communities."

Centralized around the theme, Big Ideas - Vibrant Communities, participants learn field-driven best practices from across the state.
