Robert H. Weber Memorial Scholarship application available this month

Robert H. Weber was a veteran, farmer and educator who encouraged family and friends to pursue further education. After he passed away in 2012, his family established the Robert H. Weber Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Harrison County Community Foundation to encourage students to pursue a career in education.

The 2018 application will be available this month at hccfindiana.org in the Nontraditional Scholarships tab. Eligible applicants must be studying education at the bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral level, and they must have successfully earned at least 24 hours of college credit with an accumulated GPA of at least 2.5. Preference will be given to students who are studying math education, science education or elementary education and are currently teaching in Harrison County schools.

Eligible applicants must have been legal residents of Harrison County on the date of their high school graduation. Applications must be submitted online by Friday, June 15 at 4 p.m. to be considered.
