OCRA has released the 2018 Grant Administrator training information
The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) has released dates for their 2018 Grant Administrator training and registrations are now open.
Since 1994, Indiana has required formal certification of all persons administering Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) projects in Indiana. Registration for the 2018 courses are now available and are as follows:
- 101 - April 11 and September 12 (1 day course, offered twice) from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- 201 - July 10-12 (3 day course, offered once) from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- 301 - September 5-7 (3 day course, offered once) from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- 401 - TBD (to be released at the end of March)
The 101, 201, and 301 Certification courses will be held at The Garrison at Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park (6002 N Post Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46216) in the Blue Heron Ballroom. Lunch is provided each day and free parking is located directly in front the building.
The cost of each course is as follows:
- CDBG 101: $40
- CDBG 201: $120
- CDBG 301: $120

Due to the increasing cost of printing, all course materials will be provided digitally. If any participant wants printed course materials, he/she will need to select the option at the time of registration and pay an additional fee. The additional printing fees are as follows:
- CDBG 101: $15
- CDBG 201: $50
- CDBG 301: $50
Information on the CDBG 401 Certification course will be released towards the end of March due to the proposed changes that are available for public comment. For more information, visit the CDBG Policies page and review the Grant Administrator Certification policy.
Registration must be completed in advance and closes two weeks prior to the respective course start date. The state accepts Visa or MasterCard.
