September 2017 Events on Homelessness
We invite funders tackling homelessness to join the Funders Together to End Homelessness upcoming programming opportunities in September:
September 14, 2pm ET | Webinar: Advocacy Update - What's Next For the Federal Budget?
As the end of the federal fiscal year draws near, we are asking: how will the newest developments with the federal budget affect programs aimed to serve marginalized populations as well as philanthropy's work to end and prevent homelessness? On this webinar, experts from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, National Alliance to End Homelessness, and National Health Care for the Homeless Council will share what they know about the federal budget, what to keep an eye on, and how philanthropy can be engaged.
September 21, 12pm ET | Webinar: Innovative Solutions to Connect Health and Housing
In this webinar, we will learn why the connection between health and housing is essential in serving those in poverty and experiencing homelessness and how to work across sectors to invest in housing opportunities. We will showcase innovative initiatives from Alliance Healthcare Foundation and Missouri Foundation for Health and hear key takeaways from each on how to replicate these solutions across the country.
September 28, 2pm ET | A Conversation with our CEO: Making Progress on Ending Family Homelessness
Join Funders Together CEO, Amanda Andere, as she conducts an open conversation with Brittani Manzo and Robert Pulster of the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) about the recent Thought Leadership Convening on Ending Family Homelessness. This convening brought together local leaders who are driving progress toward ending family homelessness. The attendees discussed the key strategies and challenges as well as opportunities around solutions to support other communities across the country. During the call, we will discuss what is next for philanthropy working towards ending homelessness for families and some of the upcoming opportunities to engage with other funders as well as local and national partners.
