Bill Higbie, President & CEO of the Porter County Community Foundation, recently earned the Charitable Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation from the American College of Financial Services.

The three-course program enhances Higbie's understanding of purposeful philanthropic planning and supports his knowledge and ability to work with Porter County families to integrate philanthropy into their overall goals and estate plans.

"Philanthropy plays a key role in our community. The Foundation strives to be a trusted resource for donors and their advisors in order to maximize the benefits of charitable giving for individuals, their families and the community," Stephanie Jones, board chair of the Porter County Community Foundation, said. "We are pleased the Foundation has gained the additional level of expertise through Bill's commitment to completing the CAP program."

Higbie is also recognized as a Certified Fund Raising Executive by CFRE International. He has been with the Porter County Community Foundation since 2014.
