Meridian Foundation to Award Central Indiana Nonprofits with $10,000 for Innovation
The Meridian Foundation will recognize nonprofit innovation in central Indiana with Arago Awards. The number of $10,000 awards will depend on the pool of applicants received.
All nonprofits in the areas of arts, culture and humanities, education, environment, animals, health, and human services in central Indiana are urged to apply. In preparation for applying, the Meridian Foundation’s Arago Honors award asks nonprofits to demonstrate their nominated program is a break from practice, large or small, leading to significant social change.
There are a wealth of nonprofits in the community, each solving problems in new and different ways. The Arago Honors spot lights creative solutions. The foundation last year honored eight Arago Honor recipients for using innovation to improve health and food insecurity (Milk Bank, Society of St. Joseph), aging assistance (CICOA), early learning education (Early Learning Indiana), workforce development (PATTERN, Early Learning Indiana), new business acceleration (Launch HOPE), arts entrepreneurship (GANGGANG), racial equity (Spirit and Place, GANGGANG) and social capital in all eight recipients.
The deadline for applying in 2022 is August 15 via the Meridian Foundation’s website.
The Meridian Foundation in 2022 will host individual 20-minute "office hour" Zoom calls on August 1 or August 2 for potential applicants. Links for the Zoom sessions will be sent to email inquiries at indymeridianfoundation@gmail.com.
