Welcome to the new blog of the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance!

2015 is a big year for IPA. We are celebrating 25 years of championing, supporting, and connecting philanthropy in Indiana. 25 years of helping grantmakers network and learn from one another. 25 years of offering our members quality education on best practices and trends in the nonprofit sector. 25 years of advocating for and communicating about public policy changes that affect the grantmaking community in Indiana and beyond. 25 years of connecting with other regional partners to offer our members collected wisdom and resources on a national scale. 25 years of helping shape the future of philanthropy in the Hoosier state.

This is worth celebrating.

One way we’re marking the occasion is by creating this blog. It will serve as one more channel for learning, one more way in which we have an opportunity to champion, support, and connect our members, one more way in which we amplify the philanthropic community in Indiana. We hope you’ll connect with us here regularly for guest blogs from experts, stories from our members about creative practice and what’s working on the ground, book and resource reviews, and thoughtful evaluation of trends.

In November, the celebrations will heat up. Watch for daily profiles of our 25-year members, those foundations and individuals who have been with IGA/IPA from the very beginning. And we’ll also be hosting an in-person party for our silver anniversary.

So we invite you to join us as we mark this year. Follow IPA’s blog, connect with us on social media, watch the newsletter to see how you can join the celebration. We are grateful to be involved in the good work of Indiana philanthropy.
