Community foundation launches nonprofit training series
In partnership with Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network, the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne has announced a new nonprofit training initiative: the Paul Clarke and Indiana United Ways Leadership Series. Through this training initiative, they will offer accessible and affordable monthly workshops to help Allen County nonprofits maximize their impact, strengthen their organization, and gain valuable ideas to help safeguard their resources.
The Paul Clarke and Indiana United Ways Leadership Series is designed to serve as a hands-on nonprofit training program and will work in tandem with the Allen County Public Library’s Nonprofit Resource Collection. The Library will be utilizing a new staffing model to support the Collection, with assistance from reference librarians available during the Library’s regularly scheduled hours. Area nonprofits will continue to have access to the significant online resources and information housed in ACPL’s Nonprofit Resource Collection. Additionally, nonprofits and other interested parties are able to check out titles from the Library’s book selection and access a robust collection of training and development materials. The resources purchased through the generous financial support from both the Foellinger Foundation and the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne will remain available to the public to use.
The Paul Clarke and Indiana United Ways Leadership Series is a collaboration between the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne and the Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network (INRN), a program of Indiana United Ways with support from Lilly Endowment Inc. INRN is a statewide service providing affordable, high-quality workshops, board retreats, and custom services for Indiana nonprofit organizations since 1994. The Community Foundation is excited to bring this partnership to Allen County to provide high-quality workshops to increase area nonprofit knowledge, capacity and leadership.
Starting on January 17th, INRN will have a regular presence in Allen County with their new Field Director, Amanda Davis, who will be based out of Fort Wayne, where she has been a lifelong resident. This partnership ensures INRN will work to develop deep, lasting relationships within the Greater Fort Wayne nonprofit community, to help reduce duplication of trainings and to respond effectively and creatively to the current and emerging training needs of both volunteer and professional leaders.
In addition to monthly workshops, the Leadership Series is working with Lilly School of Philanthropy to bring the Certificate in Fund Raising Management to Allen County.
